Why take a Stockholm golf cart tour?
There are many different tour options available when visiting Stockholm. From walking tours, to hop on off tours, and even boat tours. The golf cart tour is a little different.
With a walking tour, you can only cover so much ground in an hour or two. The large bus tours are pretty generic, and due to the size of the vehicle are limited where they can go. A golf cart however is small and agile so you are able to see a large portion of the city in a small time, but also get to areas you would not see with other tours.
This tour is also perfect for people with accessibility needs as the cart can store a wheelchair in the back.
Good for any weather
Another benefit of taking a Stockholm golf cart tour is that you don’t have to worry about the weather. If it’s windy, or raining, there is plastic sheeting that surrounds the sides to protect from the elements. And if you have a warm sunny day, then the guides can roll them up to provide fresh air.
Private tour vs groups
There are a lot of benefits to taking private tours in Stockholm vs group tours. With this particular tour, you can only have up to 3 people in your group. Because it is private, your tour guide may be able to adjust some of the destinations and routes based on your interests. But the best part is you don’t have to share space with strangers.
The cost of a private tour will always be higher than a group tour, but you’ll also have a better experience in the end.
Amazing reviews
The Stockholm golf cart tour is one of the best tours in Stockholm based on the reviews alone. They have a 5 star rating on Viator.

Highlights of the tour
This tour navigates a number of areas in the city including Stockholm Old Town, Skeppsholmen and Sodermalm. There are some beautiful vistas and stops for photos of the city. You’ll also see the royal palace up close and learn some of the interesting architectural quirks of the city.
Which tour is best?
There are 3 different time options: 60, 90 and 150 minute Stockholm city tours. Of course, the price increases with the time spent on the tour. I strongly encourage signing up for at least the 90 minute tour. Even that amount of time really flew by, where you will miss a lot or may feel rushed with only a 60 minute tour.
What should you know before signing up?
The tour starts and ends in the marina in Gamla Stan (old town) near the Slussen ferry terminal. You will have to walk or get a taxi to the starting point.
There are not designated bathroom breaks on the tour due to the short length of the tour. If needed, you can use the restrooms along the marina before or after your tour.
Even on a nice day, it can get really windy in Stockholm especially along the water. Plan for light layers or bring a scarf to keep warm when you’re outside the vehicle.

Stockholm golf cart tour review
I usually love starting a trip in a new city with a walking tour, but due to a combination of jet lag and an injury I wasn’t looking to do a lot of extra walking during my trip. This tour was exactly what I needed. I was able to learn a lot about Swedish history, get an understanding of the city layout for exploring on my own, and learn about some of the local museums to visit. I think this is one of the best Stockholm private tours you’ll find.
